Frank and Hattie Heimes Memorial Scholarship

The proceeds from this fund create eight $200 annual scholarships available only to freshmen on a non-renewable basis. Qualifications of applicants: (1) high school graduate; (2) academic promise; (3) citizenship and character; and (4) North Dakota resident.

Lillian Ford Moffat Memorial Scholarship

The proceeds from this fund will create two $250 annual scholarships available to freshmen on a non-renewable basis. Qualifications of applicants: (1) high school graduate or equivalent; (2) academic promise; (3) citizenship and character; (4) desire to enter the field of liberal arts.

R. B. Saar and Florence M. Saar Scholarship

One $250 scholarship was established by the estate of Florence M. Saar, a long time resident of Barnes County. First preference will be awarded to a North Central graduate, Rogers, ND; and second preference will go to a Barnes County resident.

Tripz.com Vacation Rental Community Scholarship

Tripz.com is offering up to $1,000 Scholarship for students that can best exemplify in an essay how tourism positively impacts their community and what attracts travelers to the communities local sights, sounds and experiences.

Casey CEJT Scholarship

If you received foster care, guardianship, adoption or Continuing Education and Job Training (CEJT) services from Casey Family Programs in the states of: Louisiana Montana North Dakota Oklahoma Oregon South Dakota Wyoming and you are Currently receiving CEJT funding; or Starting or presently attending a technical school, college or university in pursuit of a certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s degree; or Have completed your bachelor’s degree and are starting or presently pursuing a postgraduate degree You may be eligible for the Casey Family Programs Continuing Education and Job Training (CEJT) Scholarship. Application Period: Jim Casey CEJT (undergraduate) for fall funding – 1/1 – 5/8 annually for spring funding – 7/1-10/8 annually Marguerite Casey CEJT (graduate) fall/spring funding – 1/1 – 4/11 annually

Bruce P. Carlson Student Scholarship Competition

92nd Annual Schubert Club Scholarship Competition The Schubert Club Student Scholarship Competition, held each spring, awards approximately $50,000 annually to young musicians. (An additional $10,000 is given away in other scholarship and grant programs.) Two cash prizes in each age and instrument category are awarded – $2000 and $1500 – to be used for further musical education. The Competition is named in memory of Bruce P. Carlson, executive director of The Schubert Club from 1968 to 2006. Participants can download and mail, or electronically submit an application. Please read all the information carefully. Applications must be received complete with all required information and one $45 (per contestant) application fee. Payments and applications can be mailed to The Schubert Club offices or online with payment through PayPal. Eligibility Requirement: Applicants must be a resident or enrolled in a learning institution within the 5-state region (MN, WI, SD, ND or IA). Please check website for dates of competition.

Lyman L. Humann Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: • Applicant must be the son/daughter of a Moose member in good standing of a Lodge from either North or South Dakota. • Applicant must be a full-time student. • Applicant must have a GPA of 2.75 or above.

Hemophilia Foundation of Minnesota / Dakotas

Requirements of Scholarship Applicants • Must be a person with an inherited bleeding disorder. • Must be a resident of Minnesota, North Dakota or South Dakota, and/or a patient of one of the Hemophilia Treatment Centers in these states. • Must use the HFMD Scholarship to pursue a course of post-high school education. • Completed scholarship application, letters of recommendation, and transcripts must be received by HFMD no later than June l to be considered for the following academic year. It is the applicant's responsibility to assure all forms are received at HFMD by June 1st. Letters of Recommendation See website for a letter of recommendation form. Please make three (3) copies, complete the information at the top of each form, and ask three individuals to each complete the form and mail it directly to the HFMD office. HFMD must receive at least three (3) letters of recommendation (at least two from previous or current academic advisors or instructors and at least one from a friend, volunteer supervisor, or co-worker) by June 1st. Letters will not be accepted from relatives or HFMD Program Committee members.

Empowering Women In Law Scholarship

The Pearce Law Firm in Philadelphia is pleased to offer The Pearce Law Firm – Empowering Women In Law Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is open to women nationwide who are currently attending a law school in the United States. This scholarship is intended to encourage & support outstanding achievement & leadership by example from women in the field of law. This award will be presented to a current female law student for the following academic year in the amount of $2,000.00 & will be paid at the beginning of the fall semester (2015). Requirements: This scholarship is judged & awarded primarily on academic achievement, school & community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities & financial need. The scholarship must be submitted, in full, by December 31, 2014. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The applicant must be a current female law student. Applicant will have successfully completed at least one semester of law school but will not yet have graduated by fall semester of 2015. Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. A transcript must be attached for application to be considered. An unopened copy of transcripts, sent from the applicant’s most recent law school will be required from finalists before award is presented. This scholarship is a one-time award worth $2,000. Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.

NATAS-Upper Midwest Chapter Scholarship

The NATAS-Upper Midwest Chapter/Foundation offers $3,000 student scholarship grants to be used for tuition & books. We even pay the school directly so you don’t have to claim it as income for taxes! Scholarships are open to high school and college/university students living or attending school in the five-state area served by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa & western Wisconsin) For consideration scholarship applicants must: Submit completed online scholarship grant application form. Submit completed relevant essay. College scholarships require an additional Video Link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc) of your best work. Time Limit: 15 minutes. Submit a copy of your most recent high school/college transcript. Letter or letters of recommendation from relevant faculty or advisors. Letters of recommendation can be accepted via email [email protected] , providing it comes directly from the faculty or advisor’s school account. Hard copy letters should be signed and printed on letterhead paper. Each scholarship requires the student to write a mandatory essay for the scholarships offered. Essays will be judged based on your ability to focus on the topic, answer the question and stay within the 450 word limit. We will also pay attention to spelling and grammar.

Pfister Journalism Scholarship

Open to high school seniors who have been accepted into an accredited post-secondary college or university for the fall. Scholarship is open to high school students living or attending school in the five-state area served by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa & western Wisconsin) For consideration scholarship applicants must: Submit completed online scholarship grant application form. Submit completed relevant essay. Submit a copy of your most recent high school transcript. Letter or letters of recommendation from relevant faculty or advisors. Letters of recommendation can be accepted via email [email protected] , providing it comes directly from the faculty or advisor’s school account. Hard copy letters should be signed and printed on letterhead paper. Each scholarship requires the student to write a mandatory essay for the scholarships offered. The Don Shelby Journalism Scholarship

Awarded to a student interested specifically in a broadcast or electronic news career. Open to college/university students who have completed at least two years of school and majoring in electronic media are eligible. The grants will be used for tuition and fees. Scholarship is open to college/university students living or attending school in the five-state area served by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa & western Wisconsin) For consideration scholarship applicants must: Submit completed online scholarship grant application form.
