Jackie Lee Robinson Memorial Scholarship
Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities (please check the website for the complete list) Eligible Locations: Minnesota, Ohio Scholarship Detail: This scholarship was established in memory of Jackie Lee Robinson, owner of IPR, EMW Records and BlackJack Productions. Minnesota Student Aid Scholarship
Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities (please check the website for the complete list) Eligible Locations: Minnesota Scholarship Detail: This scholarship is funded by corporations, foundations, and individuals from Minnesota. The scholarship is awarded to students from Minnesota who are attending a UNCF member college or university with a unmet financial need. James Granville Cunningham Foundation, Inc. Scholarship
Scholarship awards to graduating seniors from Florida, Illinois, and Minnesota. Applicant must include transcript and college letter of acceptance. Initial approach: Letter Giving to residents of FL, IL, and MN.
General Mills Foundation
Requirements: * Have at least a 2.5 grade point average; * American Indian or Alaskan Native with proof of enrollment or descendancy; * Enroll full-time at an eligible Minnesota or New Mexico tribal college; * Award based on exceptional academic achievement or financial need.
Alworth Memorial Fund
$20,000 Scholarship for College for Science and Mathematics majors to be distributed ($5,000 per year) over four years. Applicants must be graduating from a high school in one of the following counties: Aitkin, Beltrami, Carlton, Cass, Cook, Crow Wing, Lake, Itasca, Koochiching, and St. Louis.
Gordon Nelson Memorial Foundation Scholarship
Eligibility:All applicants must meet the following requirements:Minnesota resident High school senior or older Grade point average of 2.5 or above Equine background or planning to major in an equine-related field of study Additional Requirements:All applicants must provide the following:Two letters of recommendation Proof of acceptance or enrollment from the school where the scholarship will be used (required only after awarding the scholarship) Official transcript of grades General Selection Criteria:The following criteria are considered in awarding the scholarship:Application is filled out properly and completely Correct use of punctuation and grammar Quality of essay Equine background Scholastic and extra-curricular achievement
Green Law Firm Nursing Home & Elderly Care
Attorney Bill Green and his team at Green Law Firm are committed to improving the quality of care in nursing homes.
With over 26 years of experience serving the community and many years fighting against low standards of elderly care, Bill is dedicated to promoting passionate students who are focused on making care homes a ‘home’ for our senior population.
We are pleased to be offering a $1500 nursing scholarship to high-achieving students who are committed to elderly care and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
Our hope is to further their professional development and continued competence, allowing them to improve the quality of life for seniors at nursing homes.
Applicants will be judged on the content of their application, the essay they provide and on their academic merits.
Eligibilty:
✓ Candidates must be working at a nursing home or in an industry directly related to elderly care
✓ Candidates pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN), including those who already hold a RN certification

Minnesota AFL-CIO Scholarships
Academic eligibility based on a straight B average, or better. (2.0 in a 3.0 grade point system/3.0 in a 4.0 grade point system.) For high school seniors graduating in the year of application. Membership by applicant or applicant's parent in local union for a period of one year prior to the date of the scholarship application and that the local union is an affiliate of the Minnesota AFL-CIO are requirements for the applicant's eligibility
American Legion Memorial Scholarship
The applicant must: 1. Be a child, grandchild, adopted child, or stepchild of an American Legion or American Legion Auxiliary member. 2. Be a High School graduate. 3. Be a student that shows qualities or initiative and desire. 4. Be a student that is honest and thrifty. 5. Be a student that has a religious background. 6. Be a student that is loyal to his/her country. 7. Establish financial need. There shall be no discrimination among applicants because of race, age, sex or religion of the nominee.
Future Mechanic Grant
Trade School Future is an organization dedicated to helping future mechanics reach their full potential. Our country needs skilled automotive workers and we want to help. Each semester, we’ll be awarding grants of various amounts to students who plan on attending a trade or vocational school with the aim of becoming a mechanic.
This scholarship is open to any prospective student in the United States who plans to enroll in a trade or vocational school, 2 or 4 year university, accredited community college or other automotive higher education institution within the next 12 months.
The applicant must complete a short essay (500 words or less) detailing why they are pursuing an automotive degree.
The applicant must provide a phone number and email address for correspondence about the grant award selection process.
The Future Mechanic Grant for the Fall/Winter Semester is a one-time financial gift of $1,000.
The grant will be awarded to the applicant who best answers the application criteria, including the short essay.
The award funds may be applied to any expenses associated with pursuing an automotive degree or certification.
This is a one-time financial gift and does not need to be paid back to Trade School Future.
Drone Technology College Scholarship
The Drone Technology College Scholarship will be awarded to current U.S. college or university undergraduates who demonstrate an interest in pushing the drone industry forward, as demonstrated in an essay of 750-1,000 words. Successful applicants will write thorough, thoughtful essays that dive deeply into the topic, and will have a strong letter of support. Two awards of $1,000 each will be given.
