Young Christian Leaders Scholarship
Funded by the law firm of Buttafuoco & Associates, YCL was created to support the next generation of dedicated, Christian professionals who will use their talents to impact their families, communities and the world. YCL is for the empowerment of students who have shown dedication, character, promise, determination and a desire to apply those qualities to their God-given calling. Young people under the age of 24 who are either high school seniors entering college or are currently full-time undergraduates are eligible to apply. Graduate students are not eligible.
Empowering Women In Law Scholarship
The Pearce Law Firm in Philadelphia is pleased to offer The Pearce Law Firm – Empowering Women In Law Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is open to women nationwide who are currently attending a law school in the United States. This scholarship is intended to encourage & support outstanding achievement & leadership by example from women in the field of law.
This award will be presented to a current female law student for the following academic year in the amount of $2,000.00 & will be paid at the beginning of the fall semester (2015).
Requirements:
This scholarship is judged & awarded primarily on academic achievement, school & community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities & financial need.
The scholarship must be submitted, in full, by December 31, 2014. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
The applicant must be a current female law student.
Applicant will have successfully completed at least one semester of law school but will not yet have graduated by fall semester of 2015.
Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
A transcript must be attached for application to be considered.
An unopened copy of transcripts, sent from the applicant’s most recent law school will be required from finalists before award is presented.
This scholarship is a one-time award worth $2,000.
Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.
MASSGrant Program
The MASSGrant is a grant assistance program funded by appropriations from the Massachusetts Legislature. The MASSGrant program provides need-based financial assistance to undergraduate students who reside in Massachusetts and who are enrolled in and pursuing a program of higher education in any approved public or independent college, university, school of nursing or any other approved institution furnishing a program of higher education.
Who Is Eligible?
To be eligible for a MASSGrant a student must:
Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) between $0-$5081.
Be a permanent legal resident of Massachusetts.
Be a United States citizen or eligible noncitizen.
Be enrolled full time (at least 12 credits or its equivalent).
Be enrolled in a certificate, associate or bachelors degree program.
Not have received a prior bachelors degree or its equivalent.
Be in compliance with Selective Service Registration requirements.
Be eligible for Title IV financial aid, not be in default of any Federal or State loan or owe a refund on any previously received financial aid.
Demonstrate financial aid need as determined by the Federal Methodology need analysis criteria.
Be maintaining satisfactory academic progress in accordance with institutional and federal standards.
Eligible Institutions
An eligible institution is defined as a state approved public, private, independent, for profit or non-profit institution in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts authorized to offer undergraduate degrees, certificates or diploma programs. Additional eligible institutions include, state approved public, private, independent, nonprofit institutions in Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia that have reciprocity agreements with Massachusetts and award associate and bachelors degrees, are also eligible to participate.
Award Amounts
The grant award under this program will vary, depending on the student's Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) and the type of institution that he or she attends.
How Do I Apply?
Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the Federal Central Processor. The Federal Processor must receive the FAFSA by May 1st, in order for the student to meet the MASSGrant application priority deadline date. You can obtain a FAFSA from a high school guidance office, the local library, your college's Financial Aid Office or you can call the Massachusetts Office of Student Financial Assistance at (617) 391-6070 to request a copy. You can also file your FAFSA electronically.

Connecticut Water Works Association Scholarship
The Connecticut Water Works Association and the Connecticut Section of the American Water Works Association have established a scholarship for eligible high schools students that shall be administered through the Scholarship and Awards Committee. It is the intention of the Committee to award these scholarships each calendar year to selected and deserving
candidates.
Consideration for scholarships shall be based on criteria established by the Committee, as approved by the CWWA Board of Directors. The criteria and application shall be reviewed periodically by the Board and updated as deemed necessary.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The application shall be signed and dated by the applicant and must be received by the application deadline to be considered. The applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the scholarship:
1. Applicants will be a graduating High School Senior from an accredited Connecticut High School or equivalent.
2. Preference will be given to applicants who are actively pursuing an approved course of study at an accredited higher education institution directly related to environmental science, water resources, public health or the water industry.
3. An academic GPA of 3.0 at their high school is mandatory. The relevance and rigor of the courses taken in high school shall be considered.
The Elisha Hall Memorial Scholarship
Elisha Hall (Mrs. Mark Bizzaro, WAI 2335) represented herself as a dedicated and passionate aviation professional. She was a leader and an explorer and lived life to its fullest. She set both her sights, and her standards, high. To celebrate her life and accomplishments, WAI's The Wright Chapter is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a woman who embodies the qualities that Elisha so splendidly exemplified, and is seeking to further her aviation career in one or more of the following areas: flight training (any phase), aircraft scheduling or dispatch, aviation management, aviation maintenance, or avionics.
Preference given to local candidates within the Cincinnati, Ohio, and tri-state area, but all applicants will be considered based upon character, need, community involvement, and accomplishments. Limited financial assistance will be offered to the winner to attend the conference.

Submission Requirements:
Applicants must be a member of Women in Aviation, International and may apply for no more than two scholarships. Internships are not included in the two per member scholarship limit. All application materials can be submitted in the same envelope. These requirements are the minimum for all scholarships unless otherwise indicated. Some scholarships may require additional information, please read the description thoroughly to make sure you meet all requirements.
For each scholarship include three stapled (no folders) complete application sets (one original and two copies) of the following information:

Typed, descriptive 500-word essay
Professional résumé
Copies of all aviation and medical certificates and the last three pages of your pilot logbook (if applicable)
