The Colonel Sully H. De Fontaine Scholarship Award

The Colonel Sully H. de Fontaine award is in honor of Col. de Fontaine's lifetime of service to the country. Eligibility: Students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree with the intent of becoming employed within the U.S. Intelligence Community. Vito W. Paladino, LTC., U.S. Army (Retired) -- A friend of Sully de Fontaine -- established this scholarship in 2010, the first year an award was made. Award continues. *Candidates should, in addition to fitting the profiles immediately above, provide the following application materials (in lieu of materials listed elsewhere in this announcement): a cover letter, Resume, a letter of recommendation, and a photograph. The cover letter should describe, in as much detail as possible,any relevant prior experience as well as the future plans of the applicant to which this grant would be applied. For Undergraduates scholarships, applicants must be entering their sophomore or junior year by the summer. Evaluation criteria include merit, character, serious of academic commitment, and relevance of your studies to national security interests and career ambitions. Applications are evaluated by a special AFIO committee. Decisions are final.

David E. Whitmire Scholarship Fund

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANT CRITERIA 1. Must be a full-time or part-time student . 2. Must be a Graduate or Undergraduate Student at an accredited four-year university in the United States: a.) Undergraduate students who wish to apply must be either a junior or senior. b.) Graduate students who wish to apply must have already competed at least one semester. 3. Must have at least a 3.5 Cumulative Grade Point Average. 4. Must be a declared Criminal Justice, Criminology, police Administration, or Police Science Major (other fields of study are not eligible). 5. Must be a United States Citizen.

Medal of Honor Scholarship

The Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation, in partnership with the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Educational Foundation, are pleased to announce the establishment of the “Medal of Honor” scholarship fund. This scholarship fund will award an annual scholarship to one outstanding student committed to serving in the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps and enrolled in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). The four recipients shall exemplify the spirit of courage, selflessness, service to country, and pursuit of academic and military excellence in their academic and military endeavors, and extracurricular activities. Medal of Honor Scholarships of $5,000 each will be presented to outstanding ROTC undergraduate students of the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. The primary criteria for selection will be a candidate’s demonstrated leadership performance and potential, and strong commitment to serve in the United States Armed Forces. Candidates are required to be a United States citizen enrolled in ROTC, be of good moral character, exhibit academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and have a demonstrated potential to serve as an officer in the United States Armed Forces. Candidates must be majoring in an academic discipline at an accredited degree-granting four-year college or university in the United States. Candidates must be at least second-year students, enrolled full time as either a sophomore or junior at the time of application.

I Mua Mälama JROTC Ka`awaloa Takemoto Scholarship

This scholarship is intended to encourage graduating JROTC Cadets to attend a post-high educational institution and give back to their community and nation by pursuing a career in public service in such professions as the military, law enforcement, firefighting, teaching, nursing, etc.  Minimum GPA 2.0  Be a graduating high school senior and Cadet in Junior Reserve Officer Training (JROTC) program from Farrington High School, Nänäkuli High School, or Kapolei High School  Half-time enrollment allowed  Successfully completed minimum one year JROTC program and held a leadership position  Demonstrate high moral character and exemplify the Army Values of: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage  Letter of recommendation signed by your respective schools Senior Army Instructor (SAI)
