To qualify for help, the parent's work-related injury or death must have led to a substantial decline in family income. The applicant must be between the ages of 16 and 25 and meet academic standards set by Kids' Chance of Arizona. The scholarship is good for one semester, but the applicant must maintain acceptable grades each quarter in order to continue.Eligibility:# The 18-year old Arizona girl who dreamed of becoming a nurse, legal assistant or cosmetologist, who cannot now attend a vocational/technical school to learn a trade.# The Arizona high school graduate who wanted to be the first in the family to obtain a college degree and now finds the college doors closed.# The Arizona college student who began the goal to obtain a college degree but now has no funds to complete the journey.

Attorney Bill Green and his team at Green Law Firm are committed to improving the quality of care in nursing homes. With over 26 years of experience serving the community and many years fighting against low standards of elderly care, Bill is dedicated to promoting passionate students who are focused on making care homes a ‘home’ for our senior population. We are pleased to be offering a $1500 nursing scholarship to high-achieving students who are committed to elderly care and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Our hope is to further their professional development and continued competence, allowing them to improve the quality of life for seniors at nursing homes. Available to high school seniors and/or college students who plan to or are attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in an avionics program. Scholarships are awarded without regard to sex, race, creed, religion, age or country of origin. All scholarships are based on merit with restrictions. Scholarship applicants must have at least a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 point scale) to apply for a scholarship. Selection factors include expression of mechanical ability, aviation interests, class attendance, motivation, technical aptitude, scholastic record, responsibility, and commitment to the aviation industry. Scholarships do not apply to pilot training, instrument ratings, or air traffic control programs.

Scholarship applicants must be graduating high school seniors who commit to enroll in or who are full-time college or university students pursuing a degree in manufacturing engineering or a closely related field. Scholarship applicants must possess an overall minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for their high school senior year. This award is available only to students residing within Region 12 (Arizona, California, New Mexico) and may be applied for separately or in combination with other scholarship awards listed on the Foundation web site. Need is a consideration in awarding scholarships only when two or more applicants have equal qualifications. All applicants should be SME members unless they are high school students.

Trade School Future is an organization dedicated to helping future mechanics reach their full potential. Our country needs skilled automotive workers and we want to help. Each semester, we’ll be awarding grants of various amounts to students who plan on attending a trade or vocational school with the aim of becoming a mechanic. This scholarship is open to any prospective student in the United States who plans to enroll in a trade or vocational school, 2 or 4 year university, accredited community college or other automotive higher education institution within the next 12 months. The applicant must complete a short essay (500 words or less) detailing why they are pursuing an automotive degree. The applicant must provide a phone number and email address for correspondence about the grant award selection process. The Future Mechanic Grant for the Fall/Winter Semester is a one-time financial gift of $1,000. The grant will be awarded to the applicant who best answers the application criteria, including the short essay. The award funds may be applied to any expenses associated with pursuing an automotive degree or certification. This is a one-time financial gift and does not need to be paid back to Trade School Future.

The Drone Technology College Scholarship will be awarded to current U.S. college or university undergraduates who demonstrate an interest in pushing the drone industry forward, as demonstrated in an essay of 750-1,000 words. Successful applicants will write thorough, thoughtful essays that dive deeply into the topic, and will have a strong letter of support. Two awards of $1,000 each will be given.

The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in welding engineering. Eligibility The John C. Lincoln Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET); however, priority will be given to welding engineering (WE) students. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements. Applicant must be a minimum of eighteen years of age. Applicant must have a minimum high school diploma. Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 overall grade point average. Student may be enrolled full or part time. Proof of financial need is required to qualify. Applicant must submit all required application information. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Ohio or Arizona. (A resident is defined as having lived in the specific area for a minimum of one year.) Applicants may reapply; however, persons who have received this award may reapply and may be granted the award for a maximum of four years. The award will be presented to individuals nationwide. Applicant does not have to be a member of the American Welding Society. The AWS Foundation does not discriminate by age, race, color, national origin, disability, creed, or gender. Selection Applicant will be chosen by the Named Scholarship Selection Committee comprised of five (5) members, which have been selected by the National Educational Scholarship Committee. Selection Committee will determine award recipient in February of each year. Recipient will be announced at the National Awards Luncheon. Awards One $3,500 award will be given annually. No awards will be paid directly to the recipient. All awards will be paid directly to the academic institution by the AWS Foundation.

Peters Foundation, Corp., is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a limited amount of scholarship grants to high school seniors pursuing studies in the field of environment, conservation and forestry at any accredited college or studies in primary or secondary education at a Christian college. The scholarships are a total award that range from $10,000 to $20,000 over a four-year period ($2,500 to $5,000 per year) that may be for tuition and are administered at the determination of the selection committee of the Foundation. The selection committee determines scholarship amount based on economic need, academic potential and other analysis. Students receiving scholarships will be subject to reporting requirements to the Foundation. Applicants must attend colleges located in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona or Colorado. The selection committee will perform a Phase I application analysis. Selected applicants will be invited to complete a Phase II application. The selection committee will subsequently perform a Phase II application analysis.

$500 one-year scholarship Ideal candidate has been a member of AQHA or AQHYA for at least one year who is from Arizona and has experience within the racing industry or who is seeking a career in the industry. Recipient must seek a career in veterinary medicine, racetrack management or other racing related field. Member must apply during their senior year of high school or while enrolled at an accredited college, university or vocational school. Recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 grade point average. Funding for this scholarship may be applied to either a two or four-year degree program as specified above.
