As we are nearing the possibility of this law passing in Nebraska, we would like to ask students what they believe are the risks of legalizing recreational marijuana. The Petersen Law Office is offering a $1000 scholarship to the student with the most compelling essay that answers the questions:

Legalizing Marijuana Scholarship Essay Details
Your essay should be at least 500 words detailing what risks are involved with legalizing marijuana and what can be done to help minimize these risks. We want students to put themselves in the shoes of people who stand each side of this argument. We would also like students to back their viewpoints with factual data from credible sources.

Applicants must be EITHER out-going high school seniors OR students currently enrolled in a college, trade school, or university as of the start of the fall semester.
