Newhouse Foundation Sustaining Scholarship

Scholarship Description

Competition for the scholarship is open to any African American high school student who will be a freshman in the Fall and will attend an accredited four-year university/college in the upcoming school year.  The student is eligible for renewal for three years providing the student:  * Maintains a minimum grade point average of 3.0.  * Majors in print journalism.  * Works with the campus newspaper.  * Works for 10 weeks as a paid intern for three summers at a Newhouse Newspaper (minimum salary will be $325 a week).  * Applies for annual renewal.
