Scholarship Description
This scholarship has been established and designed for NADONA Academy Fellows who are committed to long term care higher education and who are seeking their Baccalaureate, Masters Degree, or higher in Nursing. The following guidelines have been developed for this scholarship: 1. Applicant must be a current member of NADONA/LTC. A copy of the NADONA membership card must accompany the application. 2. Applicant must be currently certified by NADONA as a long term care director of nursing administration. 3. Applicant must be currently working in long term care for a minimum of three years. 4. Applicant must have plans to remain employed in long term care for at least two years after graduation. 5. Applicant must be accepted or enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Proof of acceptance and NLN accreditation must accompany the application. 6. If applicant has previously received monies from any NADONA Scholarships, they are ineligible to apply for four years after receipt of initial award. 7. Applicant cannot apply for more than two NADONA scholarships in any one year. 8. Applicant must provide evidence of community involvement other than employment in long term care.
