Scholarship Description

Applicants must be high school seniors planning on entering the Mechanical Engineering Program.  The scholarship is based upon merit and has the following minimum requirements:  1100 SAT or 26 ACT and a 3.3 high school GPA.  Prospective recipient must be accepted into the College of Engineering and Applied Science by January 1.  Applicants must write Mech. Eng. SAE Scholarship in the space for Intended Major on the admission application.  Admission information can be obtained from the UWM Office of Admissions, P.O. Box 749, Milwaukee, WI 53201.  A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming engineering freshman intending to pursue studies in Mechanical Engineering.  This scholarship may be renewed for an additional $500 at the beginning of the junior year if the student has a 3.0 GPA at that time and has been admitted into the UWM Mechanical Engineering Program.
