Scholarship Description
The National Speakers Association will award four (4) $3,000 scholarships to junior, senior or graduate students majoring or minoring in speech. Criteria for Eligibility: 1. Junior, senior or graduate students majoring or minoring in speech. 2. Applicant must be a full-time student (12 or more credit hours per quarter/semester). 3. Applicant must possess an above-average academic record. 4. Applicant must submit seven copies of a completed application form. 5. Applicant must submit seven copies of a favorable evaluation/ recommendation from a speech teacher or the department head/ dean of the college or university. 6. Applicant must submit seven copies of a 500-word essay on his/her career objectives and how he/she will use oral communication skills. 7. Applicant must submit an official transcript of recent college work. 8. Applicant should be a well-rounded student, capable of leadership, with the potential to make an impact using oral communication skills.
