Scholarship Description
Must be black and a high school graduate. Competition is open to students or independent filmmakers only. Only individuals may enter. Only one project may be submitted for the competition. The project must be on 16mm film or 3/4’ video. Only projects made in the United States will be considered. All entrants must be US citizens or permanent residents. Prior first place winners are not eligible for competition for a period of three years, however, works for the Award of Special Merit category may be submitted during this quarantine period.
