Scholarship Description
Applicants must have obtained a liberal arts degree prior to enrolling in a graduate accounting program. Applicants must be liberal arts degree holders of a regionally-accredited institution in the United States. Applicants must be accepted into, or in the process of applying to, a graduate program in accounting that will enable them to sit for the CPA Examination at a college or university whose business administration program is accredited by AACSB - The International Association for Management Education or the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Applicants must express the intention to pursue a CPA certificate. The scholarship will be awarded contingent upon the applicant’s acceptance into a graduate program. Students who are already actively participating in a graduate accounting program are not eligible for this scholarship. All applicants must be U.S. citizens. Recipients of the Carey Scholarships are not precluded from accepting other scholarships or awards.
