Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Captains Preferred Products Annual Marine Science Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Planning to attend a college or university in the United States
Course of Study:
Must be currently enrolled (or enrolled in the year of application) in an accredited college or university with the intention of pursuing a degree in marine science, marine biology, oceanography, or another marine-focused discipline.
Academic Standing:
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Proof of Enrollment:
Applicants must provide proof of current enrollment in the year of application. This can include an official transcript, enrollment verification letter, or other documentation from their college or university.
Video Submission:
Applicants must submit a self-taped video of themselves discussing the following topic:
“Describe your passion for marine science and how you plan to contribute to the field after graduation.”
Videos should be a minimum of 30 seconds in length and a maximum of 5 minutes in length. They should be submitted via a Google Drive link (with access granted to [email protected] for viewing).
