Scholarship Description
The Pine Cone Foundation (PCF), a 501c3 organization, supports LD students who wish to attend a California community college. Once awarded a PCF scholarship, it’s a year-round support program that can total up to $5,500 over a 3 year period. Students seeking associate, bachelor, technical and vocational degrees at one of 113 California-based community colleges can apply if they meet these criteria:
- Have documented learning disabilities
- Are a graduating high school senior
- Plan to enroll at a CA community college
- Demonstrate financial need via BOGFW approval
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Be a U.S. citizen and CA resident

To be considered, each package must have:
- BOGFW approval email
- Signed and sealed reference letter
- Transcript
- Specific learning disability documentation
- Completed and signed PCF application with 200 word essay
- Photo
The scholarship funds can be used for books, eye exams and prescription glasses costs, as well as health service, student center, parking permit and Universal Transit Pass fees.
