Scholarship Description
Eligibility
One (1) one-time scholarship worth $2,000 will be offered this year. This scholarship is not renewable. Scholarship recipients may apply the funds to any post-high school educational course of study related to and leading to employment in the funeral service industry.
Residents of Western North Carolina who have chosen funeral service as a career path are eligible to compete for this scholarship. Applicants must be seniors in a secondary school or doing equivalent work, or secondary school graduates. All members of the family, and/or employees of Asheville Wilbert Vault Service are ineligible for this award.
The Community Foundation scholarships will be awarded without regard to age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, religious belief, or any other characteristic protected by law.
