WGAM/Dolly Sullivan Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, the Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts, the WGAM Scholarship Fund, Inc., and the Dolly Sullivan Tournament Founding Committee established this award in 1999. It is named after Dolly Sullivan, who was an outstanding player and physical education instructor at Milton Academy. She was also the niece of Francis Ouimet. Ms. Sullivan died in 1981 and the Dolly Sullivan Tournament was established that year and has been one of the WGAM’s most popular events. The WGAM/ Dolly Sullivan Scholarship is for a female Ouimet Scholar who may have also competed in WGAM events.To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have completed at least two years service to golf as caddies, helpers in the pro shop, or course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts. The awards are “need-based” and assist with tuition at accredited undergraduate institutions.
