Scholarship Description
The Priscilla D. Ramsey Scholarship was established in 2005 through gifts of the Marie G. Dennett Foundation, with whichMrs. Ramsey was involved for many years. The late Mrs. Ramsey had been a member of the Essex County Club and was a strong player who won the Essex Club Championship, competed in many WGAM events, was a runner-up in the WGAMChampionship, and also played on the Tri-State team. Mrs. Ramsey, who lived in Greenwich, CT in later years, supported numerous Ouimet Fund endeavors. The Ramsey Scholarship has been established to help Ouimet Scholars in need.To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have completed at least two years service to golf as caddies, helpers in the pro shop, or course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts. The awards are “need-based” and assist with tuition at accredited undergraduate institutions.
