Scholarship Description
The Kenerson Award was established after his death in 2004. Mr. Kenerson was a former president (1992-1994) of the Ouimet Fund, a long time member of the Scholarship Committee and had a superb record in competitive golf. As Ouimet Fund president, he started the Ouimet Marathon and worked tirelessly on the effort to put an addition on The Fund’s former buildingin Weston. Mr. Kenerson was a member of Brae Burn Country Club and the Kenerson Award is for a caddie from that club.To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have completed at least two years service to golf as caddies, helpers in the pro shop, or course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts. The awards are “need-based” and assist with tuition at accredited undergraduate institutions.
