Scholarship Description
Dick Connolly and his family established this award in 1998. Mr. Connolly is an Ouimet Scholarship Alumnus, and former Ouimet President who is now a Director and Trustee and has been Chairman of the Francis Ouimet Memorial Tournament for 28 years. The Ouimet Fund’s Distinguished Service Award is named after Mr. Connolly.To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have completed at least two years service to golf as caddies, helpers in the pro shop, or course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts. The awards are “need-based” and assist with tuition at accredited undergraduate institutions.
