# Scholarship Type: Need/Criteria-based. # Eligibility Criteria: Established by Paul and Amy Volk to honor the excellent education Paul received at SUNY Cortland and in gratitude for the financial support he received through the GI Bill. Paul and Amy strongly believe that education opens doors to opportunities beyond imagination. It is their desire that this scholarship recognize enthusiastic students majoring in Physical Education who are studying to become teachers. Awarded to a continuing SUNY Cortland student who is majoring in physical education, has a 2.7+ GPA and demonstrated financial need. # Award: Annual award of up to $1,000 is available as a multi-year commitment. # Continuation of Funding: 2.7 GPA, commitment to Physical Education, and continued financial need. # Application: Interested students must also complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well. Giving limited to Cortland, NY.
