Scholarship Description
* Scholarship Type: Merit/Need-based. * Eligibility Criteria: Admitted freshmen majoring in the area of recreation, outdoor education, or a closely related field who demonstrates high academic achievement, leadership ability and has financial need. * Award: Annual award of up to $1,000 is available to a freshmen for four years. * Continuation of Funding: Based on student remaining committed to recreation and outdoor education field and satisfactory academic progress. * Availability: Check on availability. * Additional Application Material: Along with the application, interested students must submit a 500 word essay describing their interest in the outdoor recreation field and career educational goals. Candidates must fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Giving limited to Cortland, NY.
