Scholarship Description

When to apply?
The application will open February 1st, the deadline is April 15th at 5pm Eastern Time.
Who should apply?
Primary eligibility is residency in the town of Enfield, N.H. Otherwise, students may be of any age.  Students may be enrolled in vocational/technical schools, any college or university, including community colleges, graduate programs or other training programs beyond high school. Students may be taking one or more courses for credit or non-credit in a degree program or non-degree program.
Selection criteria
Awards are based on an evaluation of the student’s (1) motivation, (2) merit and (3) financial need. Preference is given to those students with the fewest financial resources.
Determining financial need
Candidates are required to submit a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR) that is the result of filling out the Free Federal Form (FAFSA), which determines what a particular family can reasonably afford for education or the expected family contribution. In addition, finalists will be asked to supply a copy of the financial aid package offered by the institution to be attended.
Award decisions
A committee typically meets in late May to make its decisions. Awards are announced at Mascoma Valley Regional High School’s awards night.
