Scholarship Description

Established By: Marjorie Stonehill for students who want to pursue careers in the fields of English, Journalism or the Creative Arts. During her lifetime, she was able to achieve her own college experience through the help of scholarships and wanted to assist other Boone County students in a similar manner. Marjorie had been a long time resident of Zionsville and passed away in January of 2007. Length of Scholarship: One year Renewable: No Requirements / Selection Criteria Residency: Boone County, Indiana Diploma: Western Boone, Zionsville High School, Lebanon High School or Sheridan High School Enrollment: Any accredited* public or private college or university *(Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.) Specialized Study: English, Journalism, or Creative Arts Financial Need: Yes Minimum GPA: 3.0 (4.0 system) and top 30% of class Written Essay: Yes (see specifics below) References: Yes - 2 (see specifics below) Finalist Interview: Possible Award Received Tuition & Fees: To be determined Method: Check paid directly to the college or university Application Requirements Send To: High School Guidance Department Application to Include: 1.
