Scholarship Description
To support research related to nephrology nursing by members of the CNNT of the National Kidney Foundation. Amount Awarded: $20000 Number Awarded: Varies each year. Duration: 1 year. Letters of intent must be submitted; grant proposals are due by the end of the following January. Eligibility: This program is open to members of the council who wish to conduct research on ESRD and urological diseases. Applicants must hold a regular membership in the council, have at least 2 years work experience as a nephrology nurse or technician, reside in the United States or its territories, have written approval from the department head or facility director at the institution or facility where the research is to be conducted, and have prior research training or support from an individual with research experience. Selection is based on merit of the proposal, qualifications of the applicant, and relevance to the field of nephrology nursing. Research on ESRD and urological diseases.
