Scholarship Description
The purpose of the Pre-Nursing Scholarship Program is to increase the number of registered nurses practicing in medically underserved areas of California. Scholarships are awarded to students who are currently enrolled in pre-nursing coursework and who are attending school in one of the following Central Valley counties: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, and Tulare. Priority is given to students who will be entering an Associate Degree Nursing program within one year. Eligible applicants may receive up to $4,000 per year, and would have a service obligation of 1 year.
