Scholarship Description
To provide funding for graduate student research to members of AAHN. Amount Awarded: $1000 Number Awarded: 1 each year. Duration: 1 year. Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in either an NLN-accredited master’s program or a doctoral program at a regionally-accredited university. They must be members of the association. Proposals must focus on the history of nursing. The applicant’s research advisor needs to be a scholar who is actively involved in the field of nursing history and who has prior experience in guiding student’s research. Included in the application package must be 5 copies of a title page, narrative for the study, list of potential primary and secondary sources, and list of any other relevant facilities and resources to be used. The student’s and advisor’s curriculum vitae should also be sent, along with a letter of support from the advisor.
