Scholarship Description
Menlo College offers an outstanding merit-based scholarship program for our undergraduate day students who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership, both inside and outside the classroom. The merit-based scholarships are offered to both domestic and international students, as well as first-time college and transfer students. The following information on merit scholarships is applicable to new students admitted to Menlo College. To be considered for a Menlo scholarship, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above for freshman and 2.7 or above for transfers. The amount of the award is determined based on grades, recommendations, and extracurricular involvement or leadership. Incoming students who qualify for the merit scholarships are notified directly by the Admission Office of their eligibility. FRESHMAN AND TRANSFER STUDENTS WITH FEWER THAN 24 UNITS: 3.5 or above, $12,000 President’s Scholarship 3.1 to 3.49, $11,000 Dean’s Scholarship 2.8 to 3.09, $8,500 Leadership Scholarship TRANSFER STUDENTS (with at least 24 transferable units): 3.4 or above, $11,000 President’s Scholarship 3.15 to 3.39, $10,000 Dean’s Scholarship 2.7 to 3.14, $8,500 Leadership Scholarship In addition, Menlo offers 10 scholarships of $5,000 each to talented international students, for a maximum total of $17,000.
