Scholarship Description
This matching grant brings churches and the Seminary together for support of students during their first full year. The Seminary’s contribution to the matching grant is provided by the income from an endowment established by long-time friends of the seminary to help churches actively support seminarians and to share in the great task of theological education. The number of grants from this fund is limited by the annual income from the endowment. The Seminary, within this limitation, will match the contribution of a congregation up to a maximum of $1,000 per student. This grant is not based on financial need. The church’s contribution to the matching grant should come from the student’s home church and is available only for the first full year of study at the Seminary.
