Kitchen Cabinet Kings was founded by two entrepreneurs and is a leading supplier of kitchen and bathroom cabinets nationwide. In 2010, we started as just two guys with a dream to disrupt the cabinet industry and today we’re fortunate to have thousands of satisfied customers throughout the country.
As members of the Young Entrepreneur Council, we provide entrepreneurs with the resources and social capital they need to succeed. Today, our commitment to helping entrepreneurs is stronger than ever, and to that end we are proud to introduce the Kitchen Cabinet Kings Entrepreneur Scholarship, designed to help young entrepreneurs afford the rising costs of education.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Kitchen Cabinet Kings will award one (1) $5,000 scholarship for the best submitted entry determined by our team. The scholarship will be awarded in check form, made payable directly to the winner.
SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE
The deadline to enter is August 15th, 2016. Voting and selection will be held August 19th, 2016 by the Kitchen Cabinet Kings management team, and a winner will be announced on Monday August 22nd, 2016.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To apply, candidates must be a USA citizen and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited American university.
TOPIC
If you were given a budget of $25,000 to initiate a startup that could disrupt any online industry – what startup would you propose?
Create a business plan for an online business startup that would challenge the status quo for the industry. In your plan, please include a paragraph or two for each of the following bullet points:
Business concept & mission statement
- Differentiation: Explain what differentiates your service or product from what already exists
- Market Analysis: Identify your competitors, where you fit amongst them and where you’re trying to enter
- Audience: Identify your target market
- Marketing: Explain how you would market your service/product to audience you identified
- Budget: Explain how you would allocate your 25,00 budget
Tips for Scholarship Essay
- You should double check for typos and grammatical errors. Remember, not everything will be underlined in red!
- Your essay should stay on the topic provided. Other topics will not be considered.
- Bonus points for creativity and thinking outside the box.
- Your essay should be no more than 1500 words.
