Occupational Safety Scholarship
Description
What: Enviro safety products is awarding a $1500 Scholarship to the student who writes the winning essay about safety in the work and professional environments.
Who: All active, full time college or technical school students.
When: Deadline to submit is September 15th, 2014
Enviro Safety Products is proud to support motivated students and professionals pursuing a career in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field. The purpose of this scholarship is to help recognize the contributions and importance of proper safety and health practices in the workplace.
Enviro Safety Products awards one scholarship annually to a full time student enrolled in an occupational health and safety related program leading to an occupational health and safety certificate, diploma or degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. The scholarship is awarded based on the applicants knowledge and understanding of the importance of workplace safety. This award is open to eligible students regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, personal beliefs, age, sexual orientation or physical challenges.
Award criteria:
One scholarship will be awarded.
Must be enrolled in an Occupational Health and Safety related course or program at an accredited college or university in the United States.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Enrolled in at least 12 units.
Submit current transcript (unofficial transcripts will be accepted).
Submit a one-page cover letter, consisting of a brief statement of approximately 250-300 words, describing your accomplishments, career goals and importance of proper safety and health practices in the workplace. Additionally, write a two page brief discussing the usefulness and importance of a specific kind of safety product(s) in the work environment.

Noise Induced Hearnig Loss (NIHL)
Respiratory Protection
Disposable Clothing & HazMat Suits
Gloves & Hand Protection
Eye & Vision Protection
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
OSHA Regulations Pertaining To PPE
Your brief should include links to appropriate sections on the envirosafetyproducts.com website, OSHA or the CDC where appropriate.
