Scholarship Description
This award was established by Mr. and Mrs. Melvin J. Brownold in memory of Mrs. Brownold’s parents. The award is given to enable a student(s) of HACC Central Pennsylvania’s CommunityCollege to travel either in the United States or abroad for the purpose of personal or educational enrichment and/or for costs associated with participation in a program of International Educationapproved by the College. The maximum amount of the award is $1,500.00, which may be shared by two recipients.CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:1. Applicant must be a currently enrolled student with a minimum GPA of 2.0;2. Applicant must have completed at 24 credits at HACC;3. Applicant must show evidence of financial need;4. Applicant’s travel and/or educational plans, as outlined on the application form, should be specific and realistic in terms of ability to profit from the experience and in terms of personal financial situation.; and5. Application and two completed recommendation forms (required from two persons, other than family members who can attest to your ability to profit from this travel experience.At least one recommendation should be from a faculty member) must be returned to:HACC Foundation officeM260, One HACC DriveHarrisburg, PA 17110-2999
