Scholarship Description
To assist local residents in continuing their education beyond high school at a four-year college, junior college, trade school or apprenticeship. Applicants need not have strong academic records but must show financial need.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a competitive process which considers financial need, academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, educational goals and personal aspirations. The community foundation’s Board of Trustees has final approval of scholarship recommendations made by the foundation’s Scholarship Committee or the advisory committees of certain scholarship funds. Scholarship amounts vary based on annual income available from each fund.
