Phi Delta Kappa Scholarship Grants

Scholarship Description

1. A minimum of 47 international prospective educator scholarship grants will be available to high school seniors in March.  At least forty-six $1,000 grants and one $2,000 grant will be awarded.  In addition, two renewable scholarships will also be awarded ($1,000 and $1,250 each year).  PDK’s financial aid policy stipulates that at least two scholarship grants are awarded to dependents of Kappans and a minimum of four are awarded to minority students.  The scholarship grants are provided jointly by Phi Delta Kappa, International. and the Phi Delta Kappa Educational Foundation.  2. Primary criteria used to select the recipients will include scholarship; letters of recommendation; written expression; interest in a teaching or professional education career; and school and community activities.  After-school employment and extracurricular activities will be considered as school and community activities.  Applicants should rank in the upper one-third of their classes and submit only one application per person for scholarship consideration.
