Scholarship Description
Eligibility: Competition for these scholarships is open to any male student who has graduated or will graduate from an accredited secondary school of St. Louis County (graduates of previous years who have not had college experience are also eligible), and who is a citizen of the United States. In addition, an applicant must possess maturity of purpose and have unquestionable integrity. He should have potential to succeed in the college of his choice. The student must rank in the upper fifth of his class, and have a B average or higher, and make an ACT Composite Score of 22 or more or an SAT of 900 or more (combined verbal and math). Selection: Selection of scholarship winners will be made by the Scholarship Board, comprised of one certified counselor, once college admissions officer, and a community leader. Evaluation statements by high school principals, counselors, teachers, alumni and residents of your community will have great significance. Announcement of scholarship recipients will be made about May 1 each year. Each applicant will be notified directly by the Scholarship Board.
