The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Lowes are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of the 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) within the TMCF member-school network. The Lowes GAP Scholarship is open to graduating college students with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The scholarship amount ranges from $500 to $3,100 (depending on account balance). Students must meet the following minimum criteria to apply for the award:

Be enrolled as a full time graduating college senior at one of TMCF’s member-schools
Current grade point average of 3.0 or higher
Have demonstrated leadership ability through a variety of measures
Currently enrolled in school with an account balance
Demonstrate financial need
The scholarship application and selection process is competitive. To apply, students must complete the following:
Account statement from your university showing balance owed.
Resume (include community service, leadership and employment/internship experience)
Student Aid Report (received from filing FAFSA)
Most recent transcript (applicants may upload a copy of either an unofficial or official transcript)
Recommendation letter from current school faculty member (must be as a PDF on letterhead with signature)
