Scholarship Description
This program will support the award of a scholarship in the amount of $4,500, including a $500 travel stipend to the IFA Annual Convention. The award will be coordinated with DECA and the IFA Educational Foundation. Scholarship candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, with a major or primary focus in one or more of these areas of study - business, finance, marketing, food service, hospitality, franchising, or entrepreneurship.

An annual scholarship will be awarded to a college student who meets the selection criteria set forth below:

Scholarship candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or university with a major or primary focus in one or more of these areas of study - business, finance, marketing, food service, hospitality, franchising, or entrepreneurship.
Candidates will complete an application form with a brief summary of academic record, course of study, interest in business and franchising and two reference letters.
Special consideration will be given to winning team members in DECA’s annual college franchising entrepreneurship competition or similar competitions organized by DECA. Students participating in the DECA competitions will be invited to submit applications for the scholarship.
