Scholarship Description
The Foundation recently established a scholarship exclusively for incoming freshmen interested in pursuing hospitality-related
undergraduate programs. The program is being funded from scholarship monies set aside from AH&LEF’s last major capital
giving fundraising initiative, the New Century Campaign.
Preference will be given to any applicant who is a graduate of the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute’s AHLEI
Lodging Management Program (LMP), which is a two-year high school hospitality program.
Awards:
Baccalaureate Majors $2,000
Associate Majors $1,000
Eligibility:
• Enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for the upcoming fall and spring semesters
• A minimum overall GPA of 2.0
• A U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
• Preference will be given to high school graduates of the LMP
• If an applicant is not certain which college or university he/she will be attending at the time of application, confirmation
of acceptance and enrollment must be forwarded to AH&LEF by July 1
