The goal of these funds is to encourage students to study abroad and experience something new to grow their
knowledge of the world.
The recipient will be a US citizen or US permanent resident.
The recipient will be an undergraduate student enrolled in a full academic year or fall, spring or summer semester/quarter study abroad program at an accredited university. Students abroad for less than eight weeks will not be considered.
The student’s enrollment can begin prior to awarding of scholarship funds, but the program cannot end on or before the scheduled award date.
Strong preference will be given to students with financial need.
Preference will be given to students studying in a non-English speaking country.
Preference will be given to Engineering, Math and Science majors.
All US students studying abroad through accredited universities, despite program or major, are encouraged to apply.

Completed scholarship application.
Copy of acceptance letter to study abroad program.
Completed Financial Needs Verification Form (this needs to be completed by your financial aid administrator).
Original essay answering: What do you hope to gain by studying abroad? in 250 to 750 words.
