At-Large Scholars Program

Scholarship Description

NACME recently introduced its newest scholarship program – At-Large Scholars program. The At-Large Scholars program offers scholarship support to rising second-, third-, and fourth-year underrepresented minority students pursuing engineering degrees at non-partner universities.This competitive award is based on the following four criteria:  * academic achievement   * financial need   * record of community/civic/social involvement   * evidence of leadership skillsEach year, NACME awards At-Large scholarships to 10–15 full-time African American, American Indian, and Latino students enrolled in engineering or engineering-related programs at ABET-accredited institutions.Based on cumulative college GPA, each At-Large Scholar receives up to $4,000 per year for a maximum of three years, as follows:Grade Point Average Award Amount3.50 – 4.00 $ 4,0003.00 – 3.49 $ 3,0002.50 – 2.99 $ 2,500
