Culinex Culinology Higher Education Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The Research Chefs Association (RCA) and CuliNex value the importance of Culinology® education.  The Research Chefs Foundation (RCF) and CuliNex have teamed up to create an opportunity for individuals to succeed in this discipline by providing financial assistance in the form of a $4,000 scholarship for qualified individuals who exhibit a demonstrated interest in developing organic and natural foods.Scholarship candidates are judged on the basis of grade point average, financial need, and an essay.  Recipients will receive scholarship money via deposit at the Financial Aid Office of the Campus of their choice, for the use of purchasing books and supplies, covering lab fees and tuition expenses.ELIGIBILITY? Candidates must be an RCA professional or student member.  ? Have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours (sophomore level equivalent) of course study. ? Proof of acceptance, as a full- or part-time student into an RCA-approved Culinology® degree program.? Candidates must be majoring in Culinology®.? Recipients of other RCF scholarships are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to apply.? Attend the Annual Luncheon of the RCA Annual Conference & Culinology® Expo in Phoenix, AZ. RCA will provide a Luncheon ticket, an Annual Conference registration and one night’s accommodation.INSTRUCTIONS? Applicants must complete the application.? College applicants must send transcripts covering a minimum of the previous two academic years (i.e. a college sophomore would send their freshman year transcripts, as well as their high school senior year transcripts).? Type each answer.  Your name, address and phone number must appear on all attachments, including those mailed separately.? RCF must receive 1) the completed, typed application, 2) school transcript(s), 3) a written essay and 4) two (2) letters of reference by January 15.JUDGINGApplications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:?
