Scholarship Description
Established by Sally L. Pian and Ira W. Silverman in honor of the 94th birthday of Ruth Pian, to enable deserving young people to attend The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Students must be American citizens. Jewish and non-Jewish candidates are eligible. Financial need (33%), academic achievement/high scholastic merit (34%) and community involvement (33%) will be considered. One scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded. Education level: Undergraduate seniors or current medical students Hours enrolled/semester: Must be enrolled in or applying for full-time study Giving primarily in Texas.
