* Scholarship Type: Merit/Need-based. * Eligibility Criteria: This scholarship was established by Jim and Jane Benham to support a freshman student pursuing a chemistry major demonstrating financial need. * Award: Renewable award of up to $1,000. * Availability: Check on availability. * Continuation of Funding: Based on student maintaining a satisfactory academic progress and a 3.0 GPA beginning with the end of the first year and monitored annually as well as continuing to show financial need. * Additional Application Material: Candidates must fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.)
