Requirements / Selection Criteria Enrollment: At any accredited school of the medical arts. Special Characteristics: Any Shelby Countian who is attending any accredited school of the medical arts including, but not limited to, medical schools, nursing, schools, medical technician schools and other schools training persons in the medical and related professions. Special Preference: Recipients must be firmly established in their course of study—this scholarship is not for freshmen. Shelby County residents only. Financial Need Considered: Yes Written Essay: Yes Essay Guidelines: Essay is in the form of a letter to the selection committee. Suggested content for the letter would include some general information about background, course of study, and future plans. References: None required. Finalist Interview: No Award Received Tuition & Fees: $300 to $5,000 Renewable: Previous recipients may reapply.
