Eligibility: To be eligible, you must be a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States, enrolling or enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university, without prior sworn law enforcement experience, physically, mentally, and emotionally fit, and ready for the challenges of modern policing. Scholarship requires a commitment to earn your baccalaureate degree, complete rigorous, residential Police Corps training, and serve for four years as a patrol officer with a designated agency in an area of great need. Awards: $7,500 per year up to $30,000 lifetime. Application Procedures: Applications are available from the State Lead Agency in 27 participating states. Residency in one of the 27 states is not required, nor is completing school in that state. However, you must agree to participate in your training and service in that state.
