Scholarship Description

The Northwest Chapter of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants is now accepting applications for scholarships. Traditionally, the chapter has awarded multiple scholarships totaling $5,000 or more. The exact number and dollar amount of each scholarship granted will be based on the size of the qualified applicant pool. Eligibility: Accounting students who have completed at least two quarters of accounting classes at the time of application and who plan to complete an accounting degree program in Washington state with the intention of becoming a CPA are encouraged to apply. Please note that eligibility is restricted to students who either live in or attend school within the Northwest chapter area (Skagit, Island, and Whatcom counties). Qualifications: The board members of the Northwest Chapter will screen all applications received and select the finalists based on: Academic achievement Campus or other activities Preparation for an accounting career as a CPA Work history Professional potential
