Scholarship Description
The Lincoln-Lane Foundation is a private foundation that was founded in 1928 and is dedicated to providing scholarship assistance to residents of Tidewater area of Virginia who have demonstrated academic success and a financial need. Scholarships range from $500 to $3,000 per year and are renewable for three additional years.
The Lincoln-Lane Foundation welcomes applications from any high school or college student who is a resident of the Tidewater area of Virginia and who meets the following guidelines:
US Citizen or Permanent Resident (A copy of Alien Registration Receipt Card: I-151, I-551 or I-551c)
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Financial Need
Applying to, or currently attending, a 4 year college
If you meet these qualifications, we invite you to submit an application.
To request an application, please send a written request to The Lincoln-Lane Foundation at 207 Granby Street, Suite 302, Norfolk VA 23510. Please include your full name and return address in your letter. Requests are accepted between September 1 and October 15.
To complete the application process, we will require -
2 letters of recommendation
a photograph taken within the last twelve months
a letter in your own handwriting outlining your reasons for seeking scholarship assistance.
a copy of parent(s)’ prior year 1040 federal tax return
an official transcript of your scholastic record with SAT/ACT scores
If you file a FAFSA form, a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR) must be sent
