Scholarship Description
This scholarship is named for Dr. Alvin Saake, a former coach of the University of Hawai’i basketball team in the 1950’s and 60’s who passed away in 2003. His commitment to higher education lives on in this scholarship. You were chosen for your interest in the fields of Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Leisure Science or other related fields.
Requirements:
Be a college junior, senior or graduate student.
Major in Kinesiology, Leisure Science, Physical Education, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii.
Demonstrate financial need.
Attend an accredited two or four year college or university.
Be a full-time student.
Maintain a minimum 2.7 GPA.
