Scholarship Description
The Network of Women in Computer Technology (NWCT) is offering a scholarship of $2,000 for a female student currently enrolled in college-level courses for the 2013/2014 academic year.
The application postmark deadline is May 1, 2014 to be considered for the 2014 fall semester.
NWCT provides leadership, mentoring, professional development and networking to women within the Philadelphia technology community. This scholarship is intended to encourage and support women with the interest, the aptitude, and the potential for a successful career in information technology.
ELIGIBILITY
An applicant must be:
• A female at least 20 years of age
• A United States Citizen
• Enrolled in an accredited Philadelphia area college or university
• A 2013-2014 college Sophomore or Junior with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
• Enrolled in a full-time or part-time undergraduate technology related degree program, as prescribed by the college or university, in:
• Information Systems
• Business Applications
• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Software Engineering
• Information Security
