Scholarship Description
These awards are based on musical quality, leadership potential, and academic promise. Consideration of the School of Music’s artistic requirements may be taken into account. At least one recipient shall always be entitled to the Robert Hargreaves Award in recognition of Dr. Hargreaves’ years of dedicated and tireless service to the Ball State School of Music and the high musical standards he espoused. Anyone under 25 at the time of application is eligible to apply. Applicants must be eligible for admission to Ball State, and this award may only be used for full-time undergraduate registration in a music major curriculum at Ball State. Awards are made on a year-to-year basis, normally continued for four years; however, recipients are subject to annual review by the director of the School of Music, and renewals are not automatic.
