Ross-Fahey Scholarships
The Ross-Fahey Scholarships were established in 1999 by the former NACA® New England region to provide financial assistance to graduate student leaders enrolled and new professionals employed in colleges and universities in the NACA® Northeast region. The scholarships are to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books or for professional development purposes, such as conference fees.
Selection
All scholarship recipients will be selected by an anonymous committee appointed by the NACA® Northeast Regional Coordinator.
Criteria:
A committee will select individuals who meet the following criteria:
Matriculated graduate student or staff member employed at a member school
Demonstrates significant leadership skills and abilities
Made significant contributions via volunteer involvement, either on or off campus
Application Process
Candidates may be nominated by others or may self-nominate. The following must be received in the
NACA Office by October 1.
A completed and signed application form
Letter of recommendation from the candidate’s current supervisor
A description or resume that highlights the applicant’s activities, abilities and accomplishments
In order to receive the scholarship payment, an official verification of the recipient’s current enrollment/employment status will need to be mailed promptly to the NACA® Office.
NEWH New York Chapter Scholarship
Qualifications:
Must be a currently enrolled student attending an accredited college
Must have completed half the requirements for a degree or certification in the program you are currently enrolled
Must show financial need and have eligible outstanding debt for tuition, books or supplies at time of scholarship award
Must have a 3.0 GPA
Must have a career objective in one of the areas of the Hospitality Industry (i.e., Hotel/Restaurant Management, Culinary/Foodservice, Architecture, Interior Design, etc.)
Additional requirements must be included with your application:
Student essay, to include:
o Background of yourself and your experience
o Your goals and objectives after graduation
o What prompted you to choose this career
o Do you feel you made a contribution to your school program or fellow students through leadership or participation
o Why is obtaining this scholarship important to you
o If your application is not accepted, what plans do you have for financing

Green Law Firm Nursing Home & Elderly Care
Attorney Bill Green and his team at Green Law Firm are committed to improving the quality of care in nursing homes.
With over 26 years of experience serving the community and many years fighting against low standards of elderly care, Bill is dedicated to promoting passionate students who are focused on making care homes a ‘home’ for our senior population.
We are pleased to be offering a $1500 nursing scholarship to high-achieving students who are committed to elderly care and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
Our hope is to further their professional development and continued competence, allowing them to improve the quality of life for seniors at nursing homes.
Applicants will be judged on the content of their application, the essay they provide and on their academic merits.
Eligibilty:
✓ Candidates must be working at a nursing home or in an industry directly related to elderly care
✓ Candidates pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN), including those who already hold a RN certification

Future Mechanic Grant
Trade School Future is an organization dedicated to helping future mechanics reach their full potential. Our country needs skilled automotive workers and we want to help. Each semester, we’ll be awarding grants of various amounts to students who plan on attending a trade or vocational school with the aim of becoming a mechanic.
This scholarship is open to any prospective student in the United States who plans to enroll in a trade or vocational school, 2 or 4 year university, accredited community college or other automotive higher education institution within the next 12 months.
The applicant must complete a short essay (500 words or less) detailing why they are pursuing an automotive degree.
The applicant must provide a phone number and email address for correspondence about the grant award selection process.
The Future Mechanic Grant for the Fall/Winter Semester is a one-time financial gift of $1,000.
The grant will be awarded to the applicant who best answers the application criteria, including the short essay.
The award funds may be applied to any expenses associated with pursuing an automotive degree or certification.
This is a one-time financial gift and does not need to be paid back to Trade School Future.
Drone Technology College Scholarship
The Drone Technology College Scholarship will be awarded to current U.S. college or university undergraduates who demonstrate an interest in pushing the drone industry forward, as demonstrated in an essay of 750-1,000 words. Successful applicants will write thorough, thoughtful essays that dive deeply into the topic, and will have a strong letter of support. Two awards of $1,000 each will be given.
Stephen P. Marra Memorial Scholarship
Stephen P. Marra was a beloved Rhode Island restaurateur and former Chairman of the RI Hospitality Association. The Stephen P. Marra Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a deserving Rhode Islander continuing their education toward a career in the foodservice, lodging, or tourism industries.
The RI Hospitality Education Foundation (RIHEF) encourages individuals who are embarking on careers in the hospitality industry in Rhode Island. The RIHEF also promotes further education and training of incumbent workers; adult learners, and youth throughout the state of Rhode Island.
The Scholarship will be open to Rhode Islanders who are continuing their higher education toward a career in the foodservice, lodging or tourism industries and attending Johnson & Wales or the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI).
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must complete all sections of the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applicants must be enrolled in or accepted to a Rhode Island, undergraduate program pursuing an associate or bachelor degree at a college or university.
Applicants are required to submit a statement of their plans as they relate to their educational and career objectives.
Applicants are also required to submit an essay.
Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or employer.
Applicants must maintain good academic standing and make progress towards a degree
HSF/Coca-Cola® Stop & Shop Scholarship Program
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be of Hispanic heritage
All majors are eligible
Must be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired)
Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
Must have a New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Massachusetts permanent address
Must be enrolled as a High School Senior in the fall
Must plan to enroll full-time in a degree-seeking program at a four-year institution as a freshman or a two-year institution as a 1st year student at an accredited U.S. institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam.
Must be 16 years of age or older as of September 27, 2013

Empowering Women In Law Scholarship
The Pearce Law Firm in Philadelphia is pleased to offer The Pearce Law Firm – Empowering Women In Law Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is open to women nationwide who are currently attending a law school in the United States. This scholarship is intended to encourage & support outstanding achievement & leadership by example from women in the field of law.
This award will be presented to a current female law student for the following academic year in the amount of $2,000.00 & will be paid at the beginning of the fall semester (2015).
Requirements:
This scholarship is judged & awarded primarily on academic achievement, school & community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities & financial need.
The scholarship must be submitted, in full, by December 31, 2014. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
The applicant must be a current female law student.
Applicant will have successfully completed at least one semester of law school but will not yet have graduated by fall semester of 2015.
Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
A transcript must be attached for application to be considered.
An unopened copy of transcripts, sent from the applicant’s most recent law school will be required from finalists before award is presented.
This scholarship is a one-time award worth $2,000.
Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.
Robert E. Rich Aspiring Entrepreneurs Scholarship
This scholarship rewards students interested in business and entrepreneurship.
Four scholarships will be awarded in total. One recipient will be selected from each of the following schools: Culinary Institute of America, Johnson & Wales, Cornell School of Hotel Administration; Cornell University- Food Industry Management.
Award amount: $2500
Who Can Apply: Culinary Institute of America, Johnson & Wales, Cornell School of Hotel Administration and Cornell University - Food Industry Management students.
A.J. Grisanti Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is for any student pursuing an education in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality related major. First preference given to students attending a school in Kentucky, followed by any culinary arts students at Johnson & Wales University or the Culinary Institute of America, followed by Hotel and Restaurant Administration majors at Indiana University- Purdue and Bloomington, Indianapolis Vocational Technical College, University of Denver, Wake Technical College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Southeast Community College, Kendall College or College of DuPage.
Award amount: $2,500
